About Synetik

Emerging from a 20-year hiatus, Synetik, marked his return to music production in 2024. Synetik was a one half of Southeast Queensland’s inaugural live Drum N Bass act in the late 90's and early 2000's. Performing alongside his collaborator Mode (aka Shane B), he graced stages at significant events such as Gatecrasher 2000 and the iconic Rinseout Drum N Bass events. As part of the Malaria crew, Synetik worked with pioneers such as Static'n'Lincoln, Plush, Suspect, and Decoy, contributing to the monthly 'Rinseout' events in Brisbane.

Synetik's influence extended beyond live performances; he was a regular in the DJ circuits and underground house parties of both Gold Coast and Brisbane, frequently featured at the Rinseout monthly events, various club events and the legendary Adventjah festivals. Notably, he had the privilege of opening for drum and bass legend Dom and Roland at the Brisbane Show Grounds in the early 2000s.

In the late 90's and early 2000's Synetik helped grow the local Drum N Bass scene, gaining extensive media coverage in music street press across Brisbane and Sydney, and securing airplay for his tracks on radio stations in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, and on the Alchemy TV show on SBS. His contributions also include curating ‘Global Rinseout’, a compilation that showcased emerging producers worldwide and distributed through his own ‘Voodoobreaks’ record label.

In early 2024, Synetik built a brand new studio and is back crafting new tracks that blend classic drum n bass sounds with his distinctive style. For updates on his latest projects and releases, follow him on Instagram at synetikmusic
